A Tail of Two Diggers

In stock

Product Description

Digger, was a mischievous pup who ran away from home seeking adventure. He became the soldiers' mascot of the 1st Division, Australian Imperial Force.
During World War One Digger found adventure, was wounded and befriended by Sergeant James Martin.
The two returned to Australia where more adventures awaited them. Sensitively and evocatively written by John Gillam and Yvonne Fletcher, lavishly illustrated by artist Paul Durell, this children's book, tells of the service and ongoing sacrifice of Digger and his mate Sergeant James Martin.

The book leads the reader to understand the indicators and impact that untreated Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) has on its sufferers.

One hundred years after Digger and Martin endured their experiences of war, our service personnel and their families need not continue to suffer alone. Help is available from DefenceCare. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit DefenceCare and the provision of Operation K9 Dogs, to assist in overcoming PTSD.
